How consent is collected
Consent to receive SMS messages is collected through an explicit checkbox in two places:
During account sign-up at bldproof.com (for contractors)
When a customer responds to an estimate — before accepting a proposal or requesting a revision, the customer is shown a confirmation screen with separate checkboxes to opt in to email and/or SMS updates about their project. SMS consent is unchecked by default and requires an affirmative action to enable.

What text messages will I receive?
If you opt in, BLDPROOF and the contractors using BLDPROOF on your behalf may send you SMS messages including:
Account Notifications: Appointment confirmations, job status updates, estimate notifications, and missed call replies (e.g. "We missed your call — how can we help?")
Marketing: Post-job review requests (e.g. "Thanks for choosing us — would you mind leaving a review?") and referral requests (e.g. "Refer a friend and earn a reward")
Account notifications related to your BLDPROOF contractor account
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your activity. You will not receive more than a few messages per job or per month under normal use.

How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message you receive from BLDPROOF at any time to opt out. After opting out, you will receive one final message confirming your unsubscription. You will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt back in.
